“I want to thank you for the care I received. You have all the qualities needed to make it possible to express yourself with total confidence and freedom. It is essential to have centers like this… you save lives! Thank you very much for everything, without you my recovery would not have been possible.”
The testimony belongs to a woman assisted in the Fortaleza Program and reflects what many experience daily: they finally find a safe space where they can be heard, understood and supported to recover their well-being and rebuild their lives.

At the Comisión para la Investigación de Malos Tratos a Mujeres we work precisely for that: so that no woman has to face violence alone.

A REALITY THAT REMAINS HIDDEN

Male violence and sexual exploitation continue shaping the lives of thousands of women in Spain. Physical, psychological, sexual, economic or vicarious violence adds to prostitution and trafficking contexts where control, fear and lack of alternatives are constant.

This violence intersects with economic, racial, administrative and social inequalities that make it difficult to ask for help and access basic rights. That is why comprehensive intervention is essential.

OUR PROGRAMS: PROTECT, SUPPORT, REPAIR

FORTALEZA PROGRAM (900 100 009): Comprehensive support for victims of gender-based violence

Fortaleza offers complete intervention that combines:
– specialized psychological support,
– legal advice,
– social support,
– guidance on protection and safety resources,
– strengthening of autonomy and decision-making.

The objective is clear: for each woman to recover her stability, rebuild her life and exercise her rights freely.

BRÚJULA PROGRAM AND ALTERNATIVA: Comprehensive support for women in situations of prostitution and trafficking

Brújula and Alternativa work together from an abolitionist and human rights approach to offer complete support to women who have experienced sexual exploitation or trafficking risk. We provide:
– psychological support to cope with the effects of violence,
– access to social resources and financial aid,
– legal advice for trafficking complaints, documentation regularization and IMV applications,
– social and employment guidance and training to open real and sustainable alternatives.

It is continuous support, adapted to each woman and focused on her dignity, safety and future.

EVERY STEP COUNTS

While thousands of runners move forward in the Carrera de la Mujer, thousands of women supported by CIMTM also advance in their own process: rebuilding their emotional well-being, recovering their safety, stabilizing their financial situation, accessing protection, finding employment or regularizing documentation.

Each step forward is an achievement:
a day without fear,
a decision made with confidence,
approved assistance,
a supported complaint,
a job obtained,
a woman who sees herself with a future again.

CHANGE IS COLLECTIVE

None of this would be possible without the commitment of our professionals, institutional collaboration and the support of those who believe in a society free from violence against women.

Male violence and sexual exploitation can be stopped. With resources, rights and specialized support, women’s lives change.

Every step matters.
Every gesture transforms.
Every support makes a difference.

Let’s keep running together until all women live free, protected and with a future of their own.
