The Ana Bella Foundation is a Network of Survivor Women operating in 82 countries as a global solution to violence against women.
They channel the empathy and experience of survivors to help 80% of invisible victims, complementing and sometimes replacing public resources.
This year they return to the Central Lechera Asturiana Women’s Race in Seville with a stand at the runner’s expo and their participation in the race on Sunday with a group of 30 women through race bibs donated by the organization.
Gender-based violence can generate significant consequences in the personal, emotional, social and professional lives of the women who have experienced it. Emotional consequences may be accompanied by situations of isolation, loss of self-esteem and confidence, financial difficulties, lack of autonomy, digital gaps and obstacles to accessing or remaining in the labor market.
Access to decent employment constitutes, in this context, a fundamental tool to promote economic and personal autonomy and move forward in building a new life project.
The project “Comprehensive recovery and employability pathway” proposes a comprehensive 140-hour pathway per participant, combining psychological support, individual guidance, group intervention and training focused on personal and professional development.
The intervention is based on the particular needs and circumstances of each woman, respecting their pace and guaranteeing a safe, confidential and judgment-free space.
The project is aimed at 70 women survivors of gender-based violence who are in recovery and/or rebuilding their personal and professional life project and who require emotional support and improved employability. Participants are distributed into 5 groups of approximately 14 women, encouraging close and participatory intervention.
To help with this project, in 2026 the Women’s Race will make a donation of €1,500 to directly contribute so that women survivors of gender-based violence can access specialized psychological support services.
The project aims to generate an impact that goes beyond employment placement. The goal is for each woman to be able to move towards greater autonomy, security, confidence and the ability to build her own life project. Supporting women from recovery and personal empowerment towards greater autonomy and new opportunities for the future.
