Race Regulations for the “Central Lechera Asturiana” Women’s Run of Vitoria-Gasteiz 2026

The Vitoria-Gasteiz Women’s Race will be the third event of the XXII “Central Lechera Asturiana” 2026 Women’s Race Circuit. It will be organized by SPORT LIFE IBÉRICA in collaboration with Ascentium and the Vitoria-Gasteiz City Council.

SCHEDULE

It will take place on Sunday, May 31, 2026, starting at 10:30 a.m., with the start located in the Mendizabala parking lot.

EXCLUSIVE PARTICIPATION FOR WOMEN

All women aged 8 and over who wish to take part may do so, provided they are properly registered, both in time and form.

PARTICIPATION IN THE RACE WITHOUT THE OFFICIAL BIB IS PROHIBITED.

DISTANCE AND COURSE

Urban course of 5 km. Start: Mendizabala, Portal de Lasarte, Paseo Salbatierrabide, Rosalía de Castro, Portal de Castilla, Ramón y Cajal, Paseo de la Senda, Manuel Iradier, San Cristobal Bridge, Heraclio Fournier, Paseo de la Universidad, Paseo de Fray Francisco de Vitoria, Portal de Lasarte, Finish: Mendizabala.

REGISTRATION

Registration fee: €13.95 (includes VAT and management fees) from Wednesday, March 25 to Sunday, May 24 at 11:59 p.m. From Monday, May 25 at 00:01 a.m. until Friday, May 29 at 8:00 p.m.; the fee will be €14.95. Or until the 3,000 available entries are sold out.

There will also be:

  • 50 charity bibs at €20.95 each (full donation) in aid of the ASAMMA Women’s Association (Asociación Alavesa de Mujeres con Cáncer de Mama y Ginecológico, https://www.asammavitoria.org/).
  • 50 charity bibs at €20.95 each (full donation) in aid of Maite Ta Bizi (Association for metastatic breast cancer in Euskadi). https://www.maitetabizi.org/.

If you are a group of 15 or more women, send an email to carreradelamujer@mpib.es and we will provide you with a group registration method.

Registrations will be accepted at the “Sport Woman” Expo until reaching the maximum number of bibs if the available quota has not already sold out. No registrations will be accepted on race day.

We offer the possibility of sending to the participant’s home the bib, the T-shirt, and the runner’s bag; with prior payment of shipping costs (€5.45 for individual shipping, and €7.45 for group shipping of two or three members). Shipments will only be made to those women who register before Friday, May 8 at 11:59 p.m. or until the available shipping quota is reached. Shipments are only made within mainland Spain. No shipments to Balearic Islands, Ceuta, Melilla, or Canary Islands.

Once the registration is completed, the amount will not be refunded under any circumstances, except if the event is suspended by municipal or health authorities.

T-SHIRT, BIB-CHIP AND RUNNER’S BAG PICK-UP

Saturday, May 30, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Abetxuco Frontón; at  Plaza Mayor de Abetxuko, 9 (01013, Vitoria-Gasteiz, Araba)

It is essential to present the printed registration confirmation email sent by the organization, the ID, or the registration receipt at pick-up. Digital format will also be accepted (PDF on the phone or a photo of the participant’s ID and all registered participants).

NOTE: T-shirt sizes will be distributed strictly in order of bib-chip pick-up. The organization does not guarantee that all participants will receive the requested T-shirt size, as production takes place before registration opens.

- Women’s associations (trophies for the three associations with the most finishers and the three fastest teams of 3 members).

CHIP DISTRIBUTION.

As in previous editions, the timing chip is already integrated into the bib and does not need to be picked up or returned on race day. Only the chip provided by the organization may be used and it does not need to be returned after the race.

MEDICAL ASSISTANCE.

The Organization will have ambulances and a specialized medical service available for the runners. Ambulances will be present along the course, at the start, and at the finish.

RESULTS AND PHOTOS.

The unofficial general results, as well as photos of participants crossing the finish line, will be published on the website www.carreradelamujer.com

DISQUALIFICATIONS.

The medical service of the event and the race officials are authorized to remove during the race:

  1. Any runner who shows signs of poor physical condition.
  2. Any runner who does not complete the full course.
  3. Any runner who displays unsportsmanlike behavior.

VEHICLES.

The only vehicles authorized to follow the race are those designated and accredited by the Organization. It is strictly forbidden to follow the runners by car, motorcycle, or bicycle, due to the danger it may pose to the athletes.

BAGGAGE CLAIM.

There will be a free baggage claim service for all runners in the start/finish area, upon presentation of the bib. At the Mendizabala Parking.

AWARDS AND TROPHIES.

Trophies will be awarded to the top three finishers in each category. At the time of the awards ceremony, the organization may request a certificate of membership from the winning teams (in the company, gym, and association categories). The family record book may also be requested from the winners in the family categories, as well as the ID in the age group categories.

ACCIDENT INSURANCE.

All participants will be covered by a Collective Accident and Civil Liability Insurance policy contracted by the organizer. Excluded will be those arising from a latent condition, recklessness, negligence, failure to observe the law, etc. Also excluded will be those caused by travel to and/or from the venue where the race takes place.

Participants must follow at all times the instructions given by the Organizing Committee through volunteers, staff, officials, accredited personnel, or the official PA system. Each runner takes part in the Women’s Race under her sole responsibility and declares that she has a sufficient fitness level to take on the race. The Organizing Committee recommends that all runners undergo a medical check-up and/or a stress test before the start.

The Organizing Committee declines all responsibility for any damage that participants may suffer or cause to third parties in the hours following their participation in the race.

ACCEPTANCE.

All participants, by completing their registration, accept these regulations and, in accordance with the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 on the protection of personal data of natural persons (GDPR), give their consent for the processing of the personal data provided through their registration as well as their image within the race for the purposes of the organization, development, and promotion of the event, and for sporting, promotional or commercial purposes. These data will be incorporated into a file owned by SPORT LIFE IBÉRICA, SA, registered in the General Registry of the Spanish Data Protection Agency. You are informed that you may exercise the rights of access, rectification, cancellation, and opposition established in said Law through a written request addressed to the registered office of SPORT LIFE IBÉRICA, C/ Nestares, 20, 28045 - Madrid.
