The Central Lechera Asturiana Women’s Race returns to Gijón on Sunday, June 21 (10am) and it is now possible to register to obtain the race bib for the long-awaited final “Pink Tide” event before the summer, through the official website carreradelamujer.com.
After the races in Gran Canaria (already held), Madrid on May 10, Vitoria – Gasteiz on May 31, and Valencia on June 7, the Women’s Race circuit will have its traditional event in Asturias with a route of about 5km, which can be completed running or walking, and after which the anticipated one-hour fitness and aerobics festival will take place. The SportWoman expo, where participants pick up their Oysho shirts and runner’s bag, will be held on Saturday, June 20 from 10 to 14h and from 16 to 20h at the Palacio de Deportes de la Guía "Presidente Adolfo Suárez.
Starting today it is possible to register through the website www.carreradelamujer.com, and there will be up to 50 fully charity entries benefiting the Galbán Association, an organization dedicated to providing support and resources to families and children affected by cancer. Its mission is to improve the quality of life of these children and their families, offering programs ranging from emotional support to financial and medical assistance.
The Women’s Race, at the end of the last of the 9 races of this 2026 edition, will make a contribution of €100,000 to the Spanish Association Against Cancer, €20,000 more than in 2025, and aims to reach €200,000 in donations across all its charity projects and the contribution made by runners in this edition.
In the past 2025, the historic figure of 1,600,000 women participating since 2004 was surpassed in what is the largest women’s sporting event in Europe. In 2026 the goal will remain to promote running and aerobic exercise among women of all ages, fight against cancer, raise funds to support research and raise awareness about the importance of early prevention, as well as combat gender violence and the social and educational inequalities women suffer in all areas.
The 2026 national circuit of the Central Lechera Asturiana Women’s Race will feature the main sponsorship of Central Lechera Asturiana, Oysho and Banco Santander, along with Marlene, Octopus Energy and Neutrogena. Volvo is the official vehicle and Correos Express the official logistics provider. With the collaboration of Cosmo, Cadena Dial and Alianza Daiichi Sankyo | AstraZeneca.
